This next group is from the last few days.  Now that it has finally warmed up here in the North Country, I am determined to take fewer photos and make more of these when I see something I like.

Bridge over the Oswegatchie over the Maple City trail in Ogdensburg, NY. Watercolor and gouache on Crescent watercolor board. 3x7
I spent the most time on this one.  I actually went back once or twice in the hopes of finding some better lighting.

  2. I want to chat sometime about St. Marg. Bay watercolors...are you marketing/selling or was that just an "exercise"?

  3. To Mrs. Peterson: Gouache is a type of watercolor paint that is opaque or solid, whereas traditional watercolors are translucent. With a combination of the two you can achieve some interesting layering effects.

    Thanks!

  4. Hi Kate-

Thanks for your question. I will soon be making an official announcement of my new website and store where those pieces will be made available to anyone whose interested. Also, I wouldn't mind making my way back there again to do some more. ;)
